Income Tax Department has provided the facility of verifying the registration status of any Society, Trust or company (NGOs) under various exemption sections under the Income Tax Act (12A, 80G etc). This facility will help the taxpayer to verify the registration status of an entity while making donations and also to get basic information while filing ITR form.
